Usually presented as violin, viola and cello, Nigel Kennedy’s String Trio, alongside Kennedy on violin - and piano - will feature Peter Adams on cello and Alec Dankworth on bass, all top musicians, adept at a variety of styles.
Amongst his own melodic compositions, Nigel Kennedy will present arrangements of pieces by modern composers as well as jazz close to his musical landscape, such as Krzysztof Komeda, Ryuichi Sakamoto and Django Reinhardt, plus unmissable pieces by or inspired by J. S. Bach, the composer Kennedy views as a forefather of improvised music and a musical force constantly present in his life.
